The UK Open finished yesterday - and we had 4 players come straight back from there to play in our club night last night.
You might say dedicated, or addicted.... Anna (pictured right playing Yas last night), Chris, Andrew and Tariq (visible in the background of the pic) we admire your staying power!
BGiE regulars acquitted themselves very well at the Open - Lawrence Powell won the super jackpot, Steve and Tom O'Connor won the doubles and Peter Bennet and Steve O'Connor progressed deep into the masters and intermediates tournaments respectively. Congratulations to them all.
We had a busy night again last night even though it was a bank holiday and so we played 3 Swiss tournaments - Gavin, Cat, Steve, Petar, Farzin, and Yas and Anna (pictured) were all in the money. Congratulations to them and great to see some new faces and our Dutch visitor Kees visiting yet again.
It will be September (already) next Monday and for that we are launching our new side pool system - more information to follow on that in time for start of play. Hope to see you there!
