Monday saw a lively evening of play, with both the knockout and Swiss tournaments producing many a twist, turnaround, and inevitable miracle roll. Peter Bennet emerged victorious in the knockout, while Yas Turan and Valérie Hayes (pictured) - freshly returned from R&R in France - won the two Swiss groups. Congratulations to them all.
A reminder that we've now switched our Grand Prix nights to the second Monday of the month, to avoid clashing with other London backgammon events. So next Monday 12th June will be Grand Prix again. Come along and test yourself against the rest. The top Grand Prix performers at the end of the year will get cash prizes - just not quite up to Formula One levels of remuneration...
